Office/Telesales and Customer Service Area
At Vulcan, our people are our strength. Our telephone sales and customer service teams are available to assist you by providing a status check or answers to questions about your order. And since every member of our team is at the end of a toll-free direct extension, you’ll always reach the person you’ve called. Each of our outside sales staff is partnered with an in-house customer service agent who will follow your job through the plant to ensure it is produced properly—and on-time.
Cutting/Die-Cutting
Vulcan boasts die cutting capability few can match. With two Beck sheeters, three flat cutters and two specialty die machines, we’re able to cut material into any shape regardless of how it arrives in the plant: rolls, sheets or anything else. Our machine strength allows Vulcan to process more than 30 jobs per day, cutting your work into any size or design needed.
Screen-printing
With our pair of Ultra-Tech Multi-Color Screen Printers, we can screen print up to 4-color printing with perfect registration in a single pass. This allows Vulcan to produce your work more accurately and efficiently.
5 M&M screen printers that are hand fed and allows us to screen individual colors on a multitude of substrates.
A Sakurai Cylinder Press mainly used to screen print the poly that we convert in house.
Stamping
Vulcan has 3 Kensol Hot Stamping presses. These machines also have the ability to deboss with stamping to register on certain materials to give a more defined look to your product.
Welding
Binder projects that require custom size vinyl pockets, pouches and corners are best produced on one of our vinyl indexing machines or our 14 Hall Dielectric welding turn tables. This allows us efficiency in producing your work—on 16 different machines at once—but also provides individual inspection of each one of your pieces.
Fiab
Vulcan has 3 Fiab Robomatic automated welding machines. These machines allow us to run high volume jobs through our plant very quickly. Each machine is capable of running over 500 binders an hour.
Casemaking
For more detailed work, our four hand casemaking lines enable Vulcan to perform more detailed work. Every binder made on our hand lines is completely handmade and is inspected at every stage of construction, ensuring the highest quality pieces.
Crathern
Vulcan has Crathern automatic binder lines. These are high speed and allow us to run up to 1400 binders per hour off of each machine.
Assembly – Rivetors
Custom binder projects generally pass under one of our five Chicago upright rivetors or pair of custom-made concealed rivet machines. These allow us the detail and custom manufacturing your ring attachments need to meet your specific designs. And with seven machines to do the job, we can turn your work around quickly.
Hang Rivetor
Vulcan has 2 Hang Automatic Rivetors. Each have the ability to run 2000 binders per hour.
Index Tab
Like French fries complement a cheeseburger dinner, index tabs complete a binder project. Index tabs are an excellent way to organize information in a binder project. At Vulcan, we can customize your tabs with text and images or add protection with Mylar. Our pair of Heidleberg color presses print multiple-up to deliver all the ‘extras’ in-line for efficient and cost-effective production. Our Scott 10,000 tab cutter and E-Z machine tab cutters can create custom tabs in any shape and size. And, of course, we can put it all together for you with our 20-station Ehlerman collator, on which we can collate tabs into jobs large and small.
Warehousing, Fulfillment & Shipping
Vulcan Information packaging boasts more than 40,000 square feet of dedicated warehousing space, allowing you to produce large jobs in a single, cost-effective run. With storage for up to 12 months, your projects can be released in stages or on an as-needed basis. Our computerized inventory and fulfillment services allow you to know how much is in stock at any point and ship it with ease. Our fulfillment capabilities ensure your project not only gets out on time, it gets where it needs to go.
Fulfillment
Vulcan offers our customers one place to go to put it all together. Send us the pieces for your project and we can assemble into one package and ship for you. A 20-station Ehlerman collator allows us to collate large and small printing and tab jobs very quickly and effectively.
Warehouse
Vulcan Information packaging boasts more than 40,000 square feet of dedicated warehousing space, allowing you to produce large jobs in a single, cost-effective run. With a skid capacity of 3500 and storage for up to 12 months, your projects can be released in stages or on an as-needed basis. Using a barcode system helps Vulcan keep your work organized and secure.
Shipping
Our computerized inventory and fulfillment services allow you to know how much is in stock at any point and ship it with ease. Our shipping wing boasts seven loading docks, so your project is never forced to ‘wait in line.’ This capacity allows us to load single-carton shipments as well as multiple truckloads with ease. Our fulfillment capabilities ensure your project not only gets out on time, it gets where it needs to go.
Receiving
Sending projects or special materials to our facility is never a problem with Vulcan Information Packaging. We’ve dedicated three dock doors to our receiving wing, directly connected to our state-of-the-art warehouse, that allows us to collect shipments quickly and easily.
